This Tutorial will show you how to create your own custom logo for your fantasy baseball, hockey, football or basketball team. There are some free images below that you can download and design yourself. To download right click and save the image to your PC.
Note, if you are going to use the images with the head to head fantasy web site template. You can coincide the images to appear in the team gallery and on the team pages by changing the name to team.gif and by putting a number after team. It can be anywhere from 1 to 20 to coincide with the 20 team pages. For example, save the file as team1.gif to have the image you design appear on the first team page. When done designing be sure to put the image file in the images folder.
Here are some ways you can edit the images easily and for fun. If using the images with the template you should leave the background alone. This way it will match the templates background unless you have change that in the template.
First you will need an image editor like Paint Shop or even Paint Brush in windows to help you customize the images several ways. You may use your favorite but here i use Paint Brush, available in windows, to design the logos. Using the tools that are available in your program you can design the images any way you can think of. The examples below show some examples of the technique describe here.
Tip 1. By using a flood fill tool you can create your own team colors. This option will fill the space in a giving area to a color of your choosing. Notice how I fill different parts of the image with colors to create a team logo.
Tip 2. You can copy and paste an image into the design. The image sizes available here are "approximately" 105 X 100 pixels. There are plenty of free clipart available on the internet. I'm sure you can find one to fit your teams need. I use a search engine to find free clip art and then incorporate them into my logos.
Tip 3. This is the easiest tip for designing a logo. Simple insert team names and or numbers.
Tip 4. Just have fun. Let your artistic nature come out and design something you like. I used a combination of lines and flood fill effects to make the logo here.
Conclusion. With these basics I'm sure you will have hours of fun just custom designing logos for your league or teams. I will have more examples in the future for each sport. Using the email link below please send us any logos you design and I will be more than happy to showcase them here at Keeper Fantasy Leagues.
